The Company R. D. Robins has been established for over 68 years
and the proprietor, Barry Ansell, is the second generation of upholsterers within the Ansell family.
R.D. Robins has a worldwide client base which includes Historic Houses, Stately Homes, Private Collectors,
Interior Designers and the finest Antique Dealers in the world.
The Mews workshops in Central London houses highly qualified upholsterers with expert knowledge to correctly
restore your antique furniture to the highest standard possible.
An estimate can be prepared by Barry Ansell himself, who will visit your location personally and advise on the
correct procedure for careful conservation and upholstery restoration at your convenience.
We manufacture new furniture with the specifications to suit your individual requirements. All our bespoke made
furniture is hand made on the premises using horse hair and down filling for cushions. Our standards are high,
the majority of our work is through recommendation and our customers trust in our experience.
